Salbutamol (Albuterol)

Dosage Form: Syrup
Strength: 0.4mg/ml
Indications/Special comments: Asthma and other conditions associated with reversible airways obstruction
Dosage Administration: Oral: Adult: 2 to 6 mg (base) three or four times a day initially, the dosage being increased as needed and tolerated up to a maximum of 8mg four times a day. Child (2 – 6 years): 0.1 mg (base) per kg of body weight three times a day initially, the dosage being increased as needed and tolerated up to 0.2 mg per kg of body weight, not to exceed 4mg three times a day. Child (6 - 14 years): 2mg (base) three or four times a day initially, the dosage being increased as needed and tolerated up to a maximum of 24mg per day in divided doses.
